PRM representatives attended ConExpo held in Las Vegas, March 7-11 to view the latest products available for excavators and earth moving equipment and to meet and discuss with some of their current suppliers Movax, REMU, Montabert, Rotar and GKD.

They also took the opportunity to look at new business opportunities and product brands for the Australian market as ConExpo provides attendees access to the newest products from every major category, including earthmoving, lifting, mining and utilities.

Keeping with the show’s 2017 theme (“Imagine What’s Next”) PRM attended a demonstration of the world’s first 3D-printed excavator, known as Project AME (Additive Manufactured Excavator). Project AME was developed at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility in Knoxville, Tennessee to create and assemble three components: the cab where the operator sits, the boom (a large hydraulically articulated arm) and a heat exchanger. The excavator vividly illustrates how quickly the manufacturing and construction industries are changing.  Look out for the next PRM Mailout which will feature additional highlights from the trade show.
